Near the Bed & Breaksfast Le Limas you will be pleased to discover on foot the historic Avignon. The Pont St Benezet, The Palais des Papes, with his side the Petit Palais where you can see a magnificent collection of Italian primitive painting.
Then you can stroll through the gardens of the Rocher des Doms, from where the exceptional view of Villeneuve les Avignon, Mont Ventoux, the Fort St. Andrew will give you the full extent of Provence.
Down the street du Limas is the Place Crillon with its terraces, cafes and art galleries. It is here in the old theater facing the door de l’ Oulle that Molière gave its first performance in the provinces.
Just a few streets away , in the rue Joseph Vernet and St Agricol you can find luxurious shops and designer boutiques.
Of the Place de l'Horloge, the Opera d’Avignon (replica of La Scala in Milan) imposes an atmosphere wise to present the animation throughout the year. Artists play for fun bystanders awaiting the return of the theater festival.
Avignon can be explored by guided you to the rhythm of your steps toward neighborhoods where combine the past and present.
Avignon is also an ideal base for exploring every day about twenty minutes ( by car or train ) the Roman Empire cities, Nimes, Arles, Pont du Gard and Uzès.
Provence is equally renowned of course for its beautiful nature: you will love the magnificence of sites such as those of les Baux de Provence, the Alpilles Mountains, the Luberon and the Mont Ventoux.
